Lecturing & Music Education
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of designing and delivering a wide range of music courses — covering everything from songwriting, performance, and theory, to live and studio production, venue & tour management, and music industry studies. I’ve taught across all levels, from beginners just starting out, to advanced musicians ready to refine their craft and enter the professional world.
For the most part, I find teaching to be one of the most enjoyable and rewarding parts of my musical life. There’s something incredibly energising about helping students unlock their creativity, grow in confidence, and discover their own unique voice.
It’s been a real joy to see many of my former students go on to do great things in the music and arts industries. A few names you might recognise:
Georgia South (Nova Twins)
Henry Williams (Kamaal Williams, Yussef Kamaal)
Becky Thomas (Director, London Community Gospel Choir / Vocal Coach)
Ty (Mercury-nominated Hip-Hop Artist)
Tristan Anderson (BAFTA-winning filmmaker and composer)
Billy Brown (Independent artist / Ladytron)
Geo Gabriel (Madonna, Leona Lewis, Nick Cave)
Lady Marga (MOBO winner, MC, Basement Jaxx)
Jasmine Knight (Drum & Bass Artist / Loopmasters)
…and many, many others who continue to carve out meaningful paths in music, production, education, and the creative industries.
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to learning. I try to meet students where they are, challenge them just enough, and support them as they find their own rhythm — because that’s where the real growth happens.
